Free Schema Checker

Find out what structured data (JSON-LD) your homepage actually has, and get copy-pasteable snippets for the types that genuinely fit your page — never a fake FAQ block just to tick a box.

What this checks

  • Finds every JSON-LD block on your homepage and the schema.org types inside
  • Flags JSON-LD that does not parse
  • Notes microdata and RDFa
  • Suggests only the types that genuinely fit your page, with copy-paste snippets

Structured data that helps, not structured data that ticks a box

Structured data (schema markup) tells search engines and AI assistants what your page is: an organisation, a product, an article, a local business. It is what makes rich results possible and gives machines facts they can quote with confidence.

Broken JSON-LD is ignored silently, so a typo can cost you rich results without anyone noticing. This checker parses every block and tells you which ones fail.

It will never suggest a fake FAQ block or markup that does not match what is on the page — that is against Google's guidelines and is the kind of shortcut that gets markup ignored.

Questions people ask

How do I check my website's schema markup?

Enter your domain above. We read the raw HTML of your homepage, parse every JSON-LD block and list the schema.org types we find, plus any that fail to parse.

Which schema types should my homepage have?

Usually Organization (or LocalBusiness) and WebSite. Product, SoftwareApplication or Service fit when they describe what is actually on the page. The checker suggests only types that match your page.

Does schema markup help SEO?

It does not raise rankings by itself, but it makes rich results possible and makes your page easier for search engines and AI assistants to understand and cite.

Is this the same as Google's Rich Results Test?

No. Google's test checks eligibility for specific rich results. This checker shows everything you have, what is broken, and what is worth adding, in plain language.
