Can Google See My Site?

Built your site with an AI website builder or a JavaScript framework? This checks what a crawler actually sees before any JavaScript runs — the same thing that decides whether Google, ChatGPT and Perplexity can find you at all.

What this checks

  • Fetches your homepage the way a crawler does — one plain HTTP request, no JavaScript
  • Looks for your title, meta description, H1, body text and links in that raw HTML
  • Tells you whether the page is server-rendered, partly rendered or an empty shell

Why a site can look fine to you and blank to Google

Many sites built with AI app builders, React, Vue or other single-page frameworks send the browser an almost empty HTML file and draw the page with JavaScript afterwards. You see the finished page; a crawler that does not run JavaScript sees the empty file.

Google can render JavaScript, but it does so later, in a second queue, and not always completely. Most AI crawlers — the ones behind ChatGPT search, Perplexity and Claude — read the raw HTML only. If your words are not in that first response, they may never be read at all.

The fix is usually server-side rendering or pre-rendering, so the first HTML response already carries your content. This check tells you, in a few seconds, whether you need it.

Questions people ask

How do I check if Google can see my website?

Enter your domain above. We fetch the homepage without running JavaScript — the same first look a crawler gets — and report which of your title, description, headings, text and links are present in that raw HTML.

Can Google index JavaScript websites?

Often, but with a delay and not always completely: Google renders JavaScript in a separate step after crawling. Many AI crawlers do not render JavaScript at all, so a client-rendered site can be invisible to them.

My site was built with Lovable, Bolt or another AI builder. Is that a problem?

It can be. Many AI-built sites are single-page apps that render in the browser. Run the check: if the verdict is 'empty shell' or 'partially rendered', ask your builder for server-side rendering or pre-rendering.

Is this check free?

Yes. It is a deterministic check with no AI cost, so it is free and needs no signup.
